Just so I will know what to expect, I would like all of you who are in recovery to let me know what will be the hardest of all of the hard days to come. Day 1 or Day 2 or 3 etc.
Thanks
Tremor
Honestly...for me it was about day 3. That's when the sweats and shakes and massive headache and vomiting came. It's been now almost 9 months and I have to tell you I almost think it is harder now. I feel like I am doing so well that I can have just 1 drink which I know I can't. Good luck to you...and hang it there it will get better.

For me Day 3 was a very good day, I couldn't believe I was without a drink for 72 hours! The very first day without any alcohol was difficult...but I connected with my Higher Power immediately and am quite sure that helped my physical, mental and spiritual start healing immediately.
I shook it out in rooms of AA and would shake and cry for about the first 90 days, off and on...people still talk about that...my friends on the Program abd I laugh about it now.

In my opinion, it is impossible to answer your question, because everybody's different and i think different times and things are harder for different people. Plus there is no way to know what problems may arise in your future that may trigger an urge, or when. But since you are here asking, I'm assuming your not happy whith the way things are right now, so i will say, they will all be better than your last day drinking;)
Good luck!
Good luck!
I agree with Jayde, everyone experiences sobriety in different ways, I honestly think everyday is hard, but you just have to surrender it all over, I didn't experience any shakes or vomitting it's more psycological for me, a habit that has been ingrained into my lifestyle. Triggers have come up and I did have a drink when I found out my dad was sick, but I'm learning to have more healthier outlets than drinking, tough but I'm learning.
