Hi
Because I have not been around a while I thought I would tell where I am at.
I have been on 20mg of Subutex for over 6 months. This evening I see the Dr and don't really know what to say/ask for. I have 3 choices wean off totaly, wean to a lower dose then maintenance on that dose or stay as I am. It will all depend on what i say. I have been a good boy and given clear urine dips everyweek....expect a good report to go to work, part of me says why change things but another says that I cannot stay on it forever. I hate denpending on a chemical and partly living in the "Junki" world even if it is just to visit the center and pharmacy. Also I am planning a few holidays abroad and will have to get special licences to export the Sub which will make me feel awful having to declare to the airline that I am a druggie.
On the other hand my nurse says why "mend something that isnt broken" He recomends staying as I am for a long time now thats scary , its such a high dose in my book.

Hey Paul,
Let me just say summat about taking your meds abroad, I have taken medication abroad a few times(both methadone and subutex) and I have never had a problem, all I needed was a letter from my drugworker and doc saying that I was allowed to take this medication with me, infact I never even declared it at the airport, and this last time, when they were searching me i said I have medication in there with a letter to say I'm allowed it, but they didnt even bother looking at the letter!!!
