I was at the club last night and someone offered me a minpin male. He is 8 months old and a little lover. He is maybe 20 pounds and my minpin is 13, my chihuahua is 6. Not much size difference, right? Wrong! I went and picked up the dog and introduced New Dog and Spike in the yard. Run, run, play, play. I introduced Nina. Her ears go down, her tail is tucked and she is not pleased with the new pack member. We all go in the house. Spike starts humping New Dog. (both males, not neutered) Hump in the kitchen, hump on the couch, hump on Mommy's lap. Hump hump hump. Tired of humping? OK Let's fight instead. Fight in the kitchen, fight on the couch, fight on Mommy's lap. Now it's bedtime. Yeah, right. Mike sleeps on couch with New Dog. Mommy sleeps in bed with other two. Morning. Open bedroom door. Hump hump fight hump hump. Put two dogs in bedroom. Put New Dog outside. Scratch, cry, scratch pieces off door. Put New Dog in car to take to work because there is no way I can leave the 3 of them together. Poor Nina hasn't left the bedroom since last night. Luckily when I pulled up to work one of the guys said he would dog sit for me and decided he wants to keep him.
So that is why I still can't make any decisions without running them by my sponsor. I am still impulsive and do dumb things. But he sure was cute.

I like what my first sponsor suggests, before making decisions like New Dog, sit on it for 3 days and the share it with somebody, preferably your sponsor, before reacting.......................

I am happy to report that the guy I gave New Dog to absolutely loves him. He just told me a story about the dog sleeping in the middle of his bed, legs up in the air, waiting for his new daddy. I am so grateful I never have to bring New Dog back to my house.
