My name is Nikki, I am a college student doing a report on cocaine and the withdrawl symptoms people experience when they detox. Can someone provide some information for me. I would appreciate it, I commend anyone who is trying to stop using cocaine, because it is not an easy thing to do.
Thank You,
Nikki

Hi Nikki. I am a crack cocaine addict who has gone cold turkey on cocaine and everything else. The symptons of cocaine withdrawal are mostly phsycological (sp?). Physically you feel an immediate desire to do more cocaine. (I'm talking about iv injection of cocaine). Then that desire turns into a sort of panic when you realize you're not going to get anymore because you've spent all your money. Then you just get more and more depressed and sometimes can go into a complete state of despair. The day after is the worst. You beat yourself up, you feel extremely depressed because the chemicals on coke mess around with the natural seratonin levels in your brain leaving you worse off than you were before you used in the first place. There's not much more to tell. I hope I've helped you some.
