So Atlas,
You ARE capable of being on time, but it might be that this is a form of "Mia Copa"...and as Lisa and a few others said, your self esteem may be the key here..you put yourself through that on a subconscious level...
Ive seen your picture and your not only a beautiful person on the inside but outide as well..you dont need to dress to impress anyone....
Ive got it all figured out.lol
Wear black..all black, all the time...wear black tights or leggings, then comfy but somewhat stylish tops ( black) or black tshirts and blazers...
This way you cant go wrong, you don feel those extra pounds with leggings..and if your butt feels big on any particular day.., its covered up with the top anyway..
Bad hair day??
Wear a baseball cap, pony tail...your in cognito and no one will be the wiser..
Lastly..sunglasses...make sure you have a great pair of sunglasses and dawn them when you dont wanna put on makeup...
i almost never wear makeup, and truth be told have long stopped caring what i look like to anyone in particular...one could argue thats MY low self esteem..but im much happier now not obsessing about what i look like or making sure im wearing the lastest Chanel/ Versace fashions...who really cares?? I sure dont..
Simplifying your wardrobe with all black will help..honest..lol..and anyway..once you get your personal relationship balanced ( in whatever form that takes..)...you will probably find he rest will fall into place...and you wont be so late all the time...
Thinking of you always,
Hugs
Ali
Victoria's Secret has great yoga pants for $20. I live in them; with a cute shirt and slippers or sneakers you can't go wrong. Ali is dead on with black.
then again, i live on an island where nobody dresses up anyway...ha ha. I probably should be the last one to give any fashion advice.

Kerry...isn't that the truth...I am longer a slave to fashion..although I love it and it does feel nice to dress up pretty once in awhile.with all the makeup hair and nails...I love to keep my toes looking nice because its sandals and flip flops all the time.
Even in business here no one dresses up..believe me...I have some fabulous chanel suits that sit...and I kinda like it....aloha dresses are just fine here for business...Atlas you have to move here...there is a whole lot less importance put on those types of things...its so freeing!!!

No, I do not know which clothes fit from day to day. When I stay home, or just run errands, which is a lot, I wear Juicy so I don't have to worry about it. So when I am actually "getting dressed" I DO NOT know what fits. I don't expect many people to understand.
You are right Ali, you are dead on with the black, it is exactly what I need. I am going to spend the rest of the evening shopping online for new black clothes. I am forever trying to find more black in my closets that doesn't exist. When I lose weight, I'll evaluate the other clothes. I'm already wise to the sunglasses. I never take them off until I walk through my door.
I have hardly been shopping because I'm depressed and it seems to be such a chore to coordinate clothes. But, if I just buy a truckload of black, I will carve out a section of the closet and stay there....LOL, but totally serious. I used to do this before and don't know why I haven't thought of it. I always wore black until I was so sick of it I kind of bought everything but black. Yes, I'm bringing black back. It's a great idea!

Hey island girls....believe me, when I move there, I will live in a bathing suit and sarong. Since I'll be diving every day, I'm sure I'll be back in shape, and may not need the sarong.....LOL
I'm so jealous!
I'm so jealous!
I had 11 suitcases in total when we arrived here...my husband was horrified and still holding onto that resentment...heee heeee...but you know he was right!! I did not need or require all those clothes..I just didn't know how long I would be without my stuff..hence I am still without it...but it was a bad call...I wear a fraction of what I brought...mind you one case was for shoes...lol...I hardly wear those either..I have a couple of pair of the crocks..the flip flop ones and I love them...I have not put my foot in a pair of pumps since I arrived!! Swimsuits...shorts..tank tops and sun dresses...I swear thats it...I have a few nice pairs of Capri's that come in handy too...Jeans...have not worn any....I also can fluctuate in my weight and like you am tiny...5'4" so I know what you mean about the 5lbs...it truly puts us into another size..one way or another...right now I am steady at about 125lbs...which is comfy for me...but I need to start running again...to tone...I never use a scale...I go by the way my clothes fit.
At my highest weight....I was heavy I mean about 160lbs..or close to it...It was horrible and I was so depressed...that is what led me to gain all that weight....I have never had a problem ever...
I lost it fairly quickly...and just maintain..I don't believe in dieting....I will watch what I eat..but I never rob myself of the foods I love....I eat chocolate....chicken wings and pizza....I just work a little harder...its all a balance...about a year and a half ago...I was so tiny...maybe 110 to 115lbs...but was working insane hours and gobbling narcotics like that was the only food group on earth! I did notice before we moved here I was creeping up again....and completely correlate it to depression.....I nipped that in the bud real quick. I also notice being on sub has given me a wicked sweet tooth....so I have to be very careful.
Funny how depression and life situation can and does effect ones well being...and weight! You are gorgeous...I mean that...not only physically but spiritually....which is the most important!!!! I have a ton of black in my wardrobe and I love it..I think its so flattering on all body type....I think Ali's idea is a good....I do also the the sun glass thing too...hee heee...but then again...I never wear make up here...you just don't have too...maybe a nice juicy lip gloss with a hit of pink...thats about it!!

Ladies, I discovered the greatest secret regarding black...
(I am so bad, when my best friend and I went shopping in Vegas, she BEGGED me to buy at least ONE shirt with a color...not black....I did and never wore it...lol)
Banana Republic DOES NOT FADE!! THEIR BLACK STAYS BLACK!!!!
Also, the stretchy GUess Pants DO NOT FADE!!!!
There is nothing worse that trying to match blacks....I swear, I have guess pants for over 4 years and they still look BRAND NEW...
*you can tell this is huge for me*

If black is the answer for some, Im glad they found it. For me, to where only black, to have everything in black and live behind shades to top it? Just not my thing. I want to wear that brown skirt with the beige top. The navy pants with the cream white blouse. And I want my black dress for special times. Do you girls all really feel all black is the answer?
I love black but not all the time. I need color in my life....plus I love blue jeans. Live in those with lots of different colored tops and sweaters.
Black is great on occasion but for everyday? Too depressing.

I think you'll find that you're more depressed when you totally wear black and it sure isn't a good color for wintertime when your skin is not bronzed up. It just makes you look more washed out. I love color myself, even though it's mostly darker shades. Atlas, you might try on an outfit you want to wear the night before and also you might organize your closet into sizes with a paper between each size change. It'll certainly make it easier than haivng to check the sizes or get them on and have to take them off. (((Hugs)))))
Atlas,
LOL, hey honey, im glad you feel it will work for you...it was only a suggestion, and i knew not everyone would agree, but i can see you in Black...youd look great in it .////
The tights are great in that they are slimming ( black) and tight ( push in the fat..lol ) and has no waistband.....nothing makes one feel worse then wearing tight waistbands to remind yourself how fat your feeling and to have to constantly suck in your gut...
forgetaboutit...lol
Your beautiful regardless of what you wear. remember that...
Im going on line to find some new tights myself...so hilarious, i saw that tights are "IN" again this year...and im thinking.."Oh- Where they ever OUT??"
Having your own style that doesnt change with the seasons or fads always works best as far as Im concerned...and it will get you through that worry about "How will i look? Am i wearing the right thing??" Am i fashionable? Your ALWAYS Fashionable cus you dress withyour own sense of style..
Hugs

Thumper, I know what you mean. I am only 5'2" and even five pounds is noticeable. Right now, I am very comfortable at 123. If I go lower, like 118, I look too skinny.
Not that you can ever be too skinny...lol.

Cybermom,
Too late, my credit cards are on fire!!!!!!!!! LOL. By Monday afternoon I should have a nice start to a black wardrobe. God, I love the internet! I always order tons of stuff then send it back if it doesn't fit. Much easier than going to stores.
Ali,
I hear ya about the too tight waist, that seems to be the ongoing issue. All my leggings end at the thigh....problem solved. It's the pants that are such bitches...LOL....they make the shirts not fit.
And to better explain why I don't know, nor can I learn, what fits......Some tops work with certain pants and not with others. So, it's not as simple as "this fits me" or "this does not fit me." It's all a sometimes thing...some combos work, other don't. Some work one week and not the next.
I'll let you know how the black works out.
