Just curious. I never watched them until I worked at the court and they watched them at lunchtime. Needless to say I watch them from The Young and the Restless to The Guiding light. I used to be addicted to all of the ABC ones. I'm just thankful that the news comes on at 12 so I can sneak in a bath.

Years ago I was a big Days or our Lives fan................but..............after "Marlena" became posessed by the devil, it just became way way to unbelievable for me almost like Sci Fi movie lol and I quit watching........
Havent watched any since then. I suppose the problem is I have way way to much "Soap Opera" in my life as it is.........Cant afford to add any more drama right now. :-)
I am betting though one day I will get back into watching them again.

I watch Dr Phil, but most of the time I am yelling at the TV...lol

Janet, I watch As the World Turns and then Guiding Light follows right after. Those are my FAVS , i never watched them until I got pregnant and my satellite got cut off, now i'm majorly addicted to those two and will tape them when i am not home. ;)

I never turn on the TV before prime time, unless I am having a special day of sofa time. Then, I watch movies or recorded prime time shows. Soaps annoy me and so do talk shows. I will on occasion watch HGTV while cleaning house to motivate me to continue.
As the world turns and guiding light are the two Most realistic soaps that are out there IMO. I tried to watch other ones, and they just make me nauseous. I don't know what it is about those two, but i'm fascinated.
Everyday I record 3 shows. Maury, All My children and Dr. Phil.
I have been an All My children Fan ALL my life. Well Since I was in diaper's my mom was watching it. I love that soap. I know everyone knows Erica Kane.
Susan Lucci looks great for her age, doesn't she? I can only hope I look half as good as her when I am in my mid 50's.

I love Erica...and always will...been watching her since I was 12 and I'm now 40...did you know she's an alcoholic on the show?
I also loved Luke & Laura...watched the ending to that story a couple of weeks ago & cried and cried....

I know Erica went to rehab because she had a pill problem back in the day. Didn't realize she was a recoverying alcoholic on the show.

When I can...hit & miss on the 3 soaps but if I get a day off during the week I try to catch up, especially Sonny, Jason & Carly....and there are times at night when I don't go to a meeting & I'll watch Soap Net...

I meant to tell you that I am proud of you for making the choice to quit smoking. That is awesome. I was just reading your other thread. So you are going to quit this Saturday? I hope it all works out for you. It is so worth it. I just hit the 8 month mark yesturday. Time has flown bye for me. I only regret not quitting sooner.

I use to watch them. Now and then though if I catch All My Children or General Hospital (which were my favs back in the day) Im amazed at how I can put alot together in just a day. I never knew Erica was an alcoholic on the show though! Amazing how some of those actors have been there 25+ years and many look better than they use do. Plastic surgery and botax are miracle workers.

LOL..on the soaps, I watch the 3...AMC, One life to Live and General Hospital...General Hospital being my favorite...I love the bad guys, Sonny & Jason...
But I watch only when I get a chance and funny thing, I usually catch up with the last year's worth of stuff in a couple of days...lol...On General Hospital, Lucky is the one with the pill addiction....

I try to make sure I'm home for As the World Turns...and I've been yelling at the TV on Guiding Light with this Lizzie, Jonathan and Tammy drama...it broke my heart yesterday when Jonathan left her.
Seeing as most of the time I am hurting, or recovering from cleaning I do watch them almost daily. I just got my curtains ironed and hung up so I did my daily workout. I think I will grab the scumbuster and clean the shower next.

Hope you had a good Christmas and Happy New Year. We went to Texas... DROVE there... omg... it was the longest trip ever! But, so worth it... didn't want to come back. I am still trying to recover... i feel like i have jet lag.

Bri I'm so happy to see you post!!! How long of a ride was it? I think we made North Carolina in 17 hours coming from North Louisiana... I would think it would take much longer for you.
