Morning Thumper.

Thank you. And thanks for the link.

I'm having traditional northern Chinese breakfast this morning. Have you ever had yu tiao? It not, they're like savory beignets and you eat them with a bowl of hot soy milk, either sweet or salty as you like it. The Asian market has the yu tiao frozen and I can get decent soy milk from Whole Foods (Westsoy Organic Unsweetened). All the other brands add carrageenan, a seaweed thickener which makes the soy taste like cow's milk. I can make my own soy milk but it's complicated and I'm the only one who drinks it in my house. The boys won't touch it.

Have a great day. All those recipes are super.

Love,
Gina
Gina

Don't you ever eat anything like toast or scrambled eggs for breakfast? LOL

<yawn>
Michelle
Michelle, How about McDonalds? Sounding good to me this morning. Shantel
LMAO!!!

Morning Michelle,

No, I don't. But I do like going to a diner and ordering pancakes, sausage, and eggs for dinner. Turning meals on their heads like that is so much fun. Throw in a cup of coffee and I'm ready for a night of Texas hold 'em.

What are you doing up at this ungodly hour?

Love,
Gina
Good morning Gina, Shantel!

I love breakfast for dinner too, especially when I don't have to make it. LOL
The kids had friends over for the night, and I was awakened at 6am this morning to that blasted music from High School Musical. I'm going to hide that damn CD today.

Shantel, MickyD's sounds good. I like Roy Rogers for breakfast too. Creamed chipped beef with a side of home fries. Yummy.

Michelle
Hey there Shantel! Good luck at work today. I'll be thinking about you.

Michelle,

I've overheard you and DeNae chatting about High School Musical but since I have no girls of that age (assuming it's a Disney chicklet flick) I had no idea what you were talking about. So I just surfed the web, and do you know -- you can download a POSTER teaching the steps to the Wildcat dance. LOL, or does Caylin already have that one down pat?
Good Morning Girls,

I'd love to try what you're eating Gina, but have no idea where to find it. A thai store?

I love breakfast foods any time of day. Eggs and hashbrowns all mixed up together. Pancakes, I can eat them anytime. We used to eat pancake or french toast dinners all the time when the boys were younger. Those two were among the five foods my kids would eat.

What's up for today?

Beck
Hiya Beck!!!

Gina, she knows all things High School Musical. LOL

Well I guess I should drag my sorry a** off to the store. Today is Matts birthday so I have to go get some gifts. I might set myself up with a few too. LOL

You girls be good, and I will look for you later!

Michelle

3/ Transfer the flour into a bowl.

4/ Pour mixture in 1/ and 2/ into the bowl

5/ Hand mix for 2 minutes, rest 20 minutes, then hand mix for another 30 seconds. Rest again for 20 minutes and finally hand mix for 30 seconds.

I'm koo-koo for Coco Puffs
How about a mile high stack of Macadamia Nut Pancakes with coconut syrup! Served up hot and fresh at the "Big Island Grill". A delicious local place to eat here on the Island....where men are men and anything that moves is fair game!

Good morning all!

Thumper I love pizza too! My all time favorite food..my kids grew up on it! LOL....I mean it does have all the essential food groups!

I love to make it homemade with fresh ingredients. I use only the best!! All those colors and flavors yummy! The only thing I won't do homemade is the dough. That's a bit much! you can get your local pizza joint to sell you there dough or there are some great choices right in your local grocery store! (gawd...I sounding like Rachel Rae). Your pizza is only limited by your imagination!

Even dessert pizza with cinnamon sugar and chocolate!

My grown kids believe that it is a staple in there diet!

Now I am hungry...going to root around for something....I will perhaps end up with a glob of peanut butter on a teaspoon. Have to get Kearra up and going...time for Saturday morning ballet class!

Bon appetite:)
Afternoon everyone! (Kerri, it's only morning in Paradise.)

Thumper, Where did you find the recipe for yu tiao? Thank you so much! It's great to have someone on this board who doesn't find my food choices peculiar. You sound like my younger sister -- she ate a piece of pao cai (canned pickled HOT vegetable) when she was a year old and never looked back. I'll tell her about your hot pepper tea -- she'd probably love it.

Sammy: Kerri, Shantel and I -- in restitution for having harassed Surfer Dude for four pages -- posted our pictures on Tim's thread to Kee Kee. I've got the disclaimer about Bob in my sig line because after he posted the other day and mentioned his wife, with whom I share a given name, I got an email from a newbie telling me how sorry she was that Bob and I are getting divorced. LOL! No, I'm not divorced yet. These things take time. I think you work in the legal profession so you know how slowly it grinds.

Danny, YGM

Kerri, Pizza is a mother's best friend as far as I'm concerned. You're right -- it contains all the major food groups. BTW, Kearra is simply lovely.

Beck, You'll just have to come stay with me and I will make you eat all the nasty stuff. (ROFLMAO! No. Not THAT nasty...)

Michelle, Grumble, grumble. OK. Wish Matt a Happy Birthday from one of the hens.

Love,
Gina
LOL Gina

I finally made it back, and I have to say my hatred for Walmart is at an all time high. I should know better than to even attempt shopping there on a Saturday morning. The place was packed.

Anyway, I'm about to stretch out for a nice afternoon nap, but I will look for you guys later on at coffee time.

Michelle

PS: What did you have for second breakfast? Elevensies? LMAO
You got that right Gina! Especially a working mom!

Its early here 8:24am...have to be at ballet by 9:00...chugging my 2nd MUG of Kona coffee...waiting for its effects!

Thanks for the compliments on my grand baby! I do believe she is a very special little girl. Her beauty is nothing compared to the light that shines from within her...people are drawn to it....

All children have something magical about them! I adore kids....and all their innocence! To bad we have to grow up and loose that....to bad the cynicism creeps in and we become tainted and hypersensitive to all that happens to us. I wish we could be more like children and take life for what it is!
Michelle,

What have I told you about Walmart and weekends? You are a glutton for punishment. Did you find Matt's present? I'm a big believer in gift cards myself. Let him do the legwork.

I had a handful of walnuts for second breakfast; a cup of tea and some delicious tangerines from Whole Foods for elevensies. Lunch was leftover Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce, and now I'm trying to decide what to have for afternoon tea. Maybe some nuked mochi. My nutritionist tells me it's better to eat six little meals throughout the day rather than three large ones, but I feel like I'm buzzsawing my way through the kitchen every hour or so. I need to go back on Lox's detox diet this summer -- maybe while the boys are in NZ. You want in on it this time?

Get up from your nap, you lazy thing, and come talk to me.

Kerri,

Children shine especially when they are well-loved and it's clear that you adore Kearra -- you're both lucky to have each other. Oh! Those eyes of hers. A kiss on the top of her head, from me, please.

Love,
Gina
Mahalo Gina I will.

I would love to see pics of your boys....I bet they are beautiful.....I have said it before...mixed race children are the most beautiful specimens on earth!

Buzz sawing through the kitchen.....LMAO.....Oh I get the visual....lol....Now whats this diet you speak of Lox's Detox...do tell? Honestly the way I treat my body I should look 90! My diet at the moment is deplorable! I do take a good multi vitamin...but I need to feed myself better. Everyone else around here eats like king and queen! I am just not that interested anymore:(

Walmart on a Saturday??? We may never hear from her again. Tell Matt Happy Birthday from your crazy friends Michelle. Does he love us like Jeffro?

I tried on some slacks today and all were to tight in the waist. So I had a mere yogurt, then worked on chores for 2 hours. Finally got the boys up in time for their haircuts and had some multigrain for lunch. That tasted so good, I had a big bowl oc Captain Crunchberry. It was delish.

I might give the detox diet a try Gina. Would you mind passing it along?

My date cancelled, and now that I rushed through everything, my afternoon kind of yawns before me. I'm tired of being constructive. Maybe I'll go to the mom's and smoke.
